Anything for a Smile

The man watched the differing reactions between the two women, both drastically different from the other. Where X’y seemed to have grown confused and panicky, Nayru had grown cold and dominant with her posture. He simply watched, and listened to the both of them, hearing Nayru’s words and finding them nowhere near descriptive enough for his liking. Saluce was too protective to allow such things though to go unnoticed. He wondered if it had been Gideon, and if it was him why had he left. He knew the boy to be a loyal soul and he wouldn’t have left Nayru if he had known. Saluce stayed where he was, blocking the exit for both of the females.

“Magical beings don’t get your pregnant, but it doesn’t matter. “ he stated matter of factly, deciding for now it wasn’t worth pressing the issue of who the father was. Time would tell, if they came out looking like Stormbringer’s then he’d have a good idea. But he wasn’t sure what he was more upset about, the fact the father wasn’t around or that she didn’t tell him or ask for help. He sat for a moment shaking his head, knowing she was just as stubborn as he was at times.

“Why didn’t you tell me, or rather ask for help? I could have fixed any building of your choosing and done whatever you needed. There is no need to think this is your task to carry alone.” He stated in a matter of fact tone. If this pack was indeed supposed to be a family then even its alpha’s had to recognize when they needed help too.
