The man had come a long, long way. The elegant wolf had left his horse in Halifax and trod the rest of the ground on foot, for Strider was anxious around inferni. He didn’t like the skulls… Frodo didn’t mind the skulls that much. Well, he didn’t exactly like them, but it was a pretty nifty idea all the same. Not that he agreed with killing… but you know, if you didn’t want anyone in your pack, fair enough. Frodo had never dared cross the borders of Inferni. He’d only been there once before, roughly nine months ago. A lot had happened to ‘souls in that nine months. Not all of it good. The Silvertongue frowned and scratched the back of his scalp precociously, looking left and right as he made his final steps to the borders. He was simply here to see if the pup Makesthai was still here. They’d had quite a good time together all that time ago. It was nice to visit your friends now and again.
It would not be wise to call out into Inferni. Frodo knew this from…experience. The youth simply sat down on a rock, shuffled his hands and prepared to wait. And wait. And wait. Just hopefully, someone would come across him and ask him his business. Or at least, rather than see him, they’d smell him. Frodo wrapped his soft cloak around his hunched shoulders, glad of the warmth. A small, skinny wolf with little fat to protect him from the cold, he found he was often wrapping the cloak around his frail body. Frodo’s body hadn’t always been so frail; he’d been of healthy weight for his size at one point in his life. But being half starved for weeks led one to grow a bit more than bony… Hurrrryyyyy… Frodo whispered to himself in that odd, odd accent, twiddling his fingers around the feathers and flowers in his hair. It was getting cold, and as soon as he had news about Makesthai, he planned to leave. Little did he know that things weren't always that simple.
