He didn't hit her too hard, just enough to knock her off her feet, rolling her over and pinning her. He gave her a cocky, somewhat annoying look, and she stuck her tongue out at him, squirming helplessly until he decided to let her up. For another moment she just laid there, pouting, and then clambered to her feet, shaking herself off with a little huff. He claimed everything was fair in "shovin' war", and she wrinkled her nose in confusion before sticking her tongue out at him. "Nu-uh! Gotta have rules!" She protested, because without rules, everything was just "beat up Sophie," and that definitely wasn't fair.
Skoll asked who Boof was, and she blinked at his phrasing, her eyes going wide. "Boof like faffer?" She asked, somewhat baffled, and then shook her head avidly, her little ears making smacking sounds against the sides of her head with the force of her declaration. "No, no! Boof my broofer. Him picks on me! But he not bad." Sophie added, because Boothe also protected her from Father as best he could, and cuddled with her at night, and was always there when she felt like talking to someone. Which wasn't often, actually, but at least he was.
"Sophie love Boof! Him's the best broofer ever!" She nodded vigorously, making herself somewhat dizzy, and then wagged her tail, her tongue lolling out of her mouth. She supposed it wasn't really fair to call Boothe the best brother ever, anymore, since he wasn't her only brother now, but he'd been there the longest, and she hadn't had much time to get to know her older brothers yet, so the sentiment held true. At least for now.
