The warrior’s slender muzzle wrinkled as she grimly grimaced at the sharp pain stalking along the muscle in her calf. Pain was an old, dear friend visiting, and whose visits were brief, and rarely offered lasting discomfort. Halo found it rather delicious in her own way, for she adored the feeling of forcing her body through heavy physical effort. Winter would keep dawn away for a few hours more, but that didn’t keep her from spending the early hours to make sure she kept in perfect shape.

The Lykoi woman had taken a seat on the porch, crossing one leg over the other as she carefully massaged the aching muscle. Her body felt slightly worn, but it was well used to this and the energy would return to her soon enough. The soft hide of a long dead wolf’s prepared fur had been temporarily wrapped about her lithe form to ensure the cold wouldn’t set in as her body cooled from the recent workout. A low sigh whistled between dark lips, but there was a distant smile set on exotic features. It felt good to be back.

Oversized audits remained forever wary of surrounding sounds, especially from second floor of the building behind her, for the children were early birds like herself.

Your faith walks on broken glass

Halo Lykoi
