She hadn't been adopted in any official sense of the word. There was even an uncertainty that the two even thought of her as family. It was simply a sentiment that Symera possessed. She thought of the two older women to be maternal figures. It was simply the way that she thought of them and addressed them, whether or not they felt the same way. So they were actually titles, names filled with admiration and adoration for the other two women that were no actual relation to her.
Symera couldn't help but grin at the praise. If others within the clan had happened to notice then perhaps she was doing a good job. Maybe she would end up making Halo and Kaena proud of her as she wished to end up doing. That was the one thing that she wanted more than anything. She wanted to show them that they weren't wasting their time on her. That she was learning and trying to be better.
The moment was short lived as they were suddenly under attack. A growl riled up in her throat as the large wolf turned to face her. Symera couldn't say that she felt any fear in the moment, only hatred and disgust. This was the exact reason that she couldn't stand wolves. This was the reason that she believed every single one of them should be killed. This hadn't been the first time for her having been under attack for simply what she was. And this was why she killed with reckless abandon.
Even though the wolf was quite larger than herself she didn't back down. Instead she made to dodge his attacks only to counter with some of her own. Immediately she thought to go for the face, for the eyes. She reached out with clawed hands to try and blind the wolf. Symera wasn't afraid of death as she often showed when she went against opponents that were larger and possessed more skill and strength than herself. If she was to die then she was to die but she wouldn't go down without a fight. And of course she would be trying to take the other party with her as well.
