The Way We were Born

Eyes watched the nights entertainment slowly trickle in. First the Jace woman and her brood and mate, along with several others, while they arrived he sat very much the anti-social beast he was at times. While he seemed to sit by the way side his mate on the other hand danced merrily around, his blues drawn to her dancing form. Her tug at his ear was a good effort but he only came to his feet, and then just stood there for a few moments. Watching and listening to the scene unfold before him. He had no real ties to these people, and Dahlians that had made the trip had vanished from the lands.

But he couldn’t let his own issues get in the way tonight, at least tonight he’d try, for X’y of course. His form slowly moved on it’s own accord, the great mass of flesh and sinew walking along the few gathers there, nodding at them one by one before stopping by Jace and Temo.

“I’ve heard a lot about you two, and your brood,” he said with a slight chuckle. “Fine young ones you have,” the man spoke, as he looked over the small ones she had. “Should grow up strong and healthy,” he said with a smile before moving onward.

He stopped once more in front of the girl he hadn’t met, noticing the stain on her form. He smirked a bit before dipping his head to her. “A little blood on your coat never hurts, builds character” he said with a smile. Finally done greeting most if not all of them he joined X’y finally, his grey paws dancing in tune with her, silently standing next to her form as she gave her speech. His voice rose with hers into the sky, his deeper baritone complimenting her joyous tones.

Saluce waited patiently then, watching her form bloody itself in her endeavors. While she was digging for a special prize he decided he’d do the same with their catch. The elk was quite a beast, his fangs took a far bit longer to dig in before he reached his goal. The liver was wrenched free, his head, shoulders and legs covered in the gore of the beast but the precious prize was between his fangs. When his beloved returned it was a simple matter, the great beast’s liver was dropped at her feet. Liver was never exactly his favorite organ; his was still buried deep in the carcass.
