Lets do this!

Axelle had been hanging around outside the caves for a while, not really doing anything important and not really trying to do anything. She was bored; it wasn’t time for her to sleep yet, though many of her other pack members were doing just that. She found in herself that she retained much of her wolfly instincts more than others. She stayed awake at night, while others slumbered comfortably in their dens with children and or loved ones. She had neither, so there was nothing holding her back from staying awake.

She had been hiking around the side of the mountain for about an hour when she heard an uproar of caws. Axelle stopped where she was and turned her head to the sounds. The birds sounded frantic, and whatever it was they were cawing about made her stomach sink. Whatever it was, it was on Anathema lands and this could be a good opportunity to use her weapons… She looked on her own body. She didn’t have her baby equipped with her tonight, just her katana and whatever else she could make do with. Claws, teeth, blade, etc.

She wasted no time thinking as she hurriedly and carefully made her way down what she did climb of the mountain. She was careful to avoid tripping over the rocks that gave her trouble before and was swiftly hopping and stepping over them. It took her a little while before sounds of others made it to her ears. She was getting closer and within no time, she could see the scene. A black bear was threatening a few of her friends. Alaki was laying on the ground in his own pool of blood. She wanted desperately to help him, but she was a warrior, not a medic. She needed to help the bear in realizing that it just made the biggest mistake of its life attacking Anathema pack members.

By now the ground was flatter and grassier, and she was able to break into a full speed run towards the scene. There was a large drop before her that she carelessly jumped over, landing hard and stumbling forward a little. She felt a sharp pain in her right leg, but ignored it as it wasn’t a horrible pain. She could deal with it until she had time to check it out later. She surveyed the scene quickly as she walked forward toward the bear. Alaki was down, but he seemed alright for the moment, one of Naniko’s children and another strange male had the bear’s attention for right now, while another black and white femme shooed the children away from the scene. Were the pups the cause of this? She wasn’t aware, and all she knew was that she needed to get in there.

As she approached the creature, frontwards, she saw Naniko’s daughter hack away at the bear’s back. She wasn’t aware if she had the result she wanted, but when the bear turned to snarl at the cause of its new wound, Axelle made her move. She quickly unsheathed her sword, and lunged at the distracted bear. Her sword sliced at the bear’s left shoulder, but she wasn’t exactly sure of the damage because a large head swung back in her direction. ”Bad day for you, Mr. Bear.” She mumbled under her breath and backed out of harm’s way. There were too many wolves on him for him to do anything stupid and incautious. Then again, he was a stupid bear.
