Also, the next step is that they can just accept her into the pack, since she is family. She's testing Finn's knowledge of basic pack procedures ;o
She stood patiently, waiting for Severus to finish his sentence. Hopefully this experience would teach the boy something; each of her three sons had their own quirks, and Severus was not without certain qualities himself. Judas was the worst troublemaker of the three...he would set the other two off and bring them all into a world of trouble. Severus and Octavius seemed to be more of "followers", but when they got started in something they were hard to calm back down. Out of all of them, she put the most faith in the gray boy in front of her. He was mischievous, but also willing to try and learn how to do things around the pack and help out. She would teach him anything that he wanted to know, as long as he didn't give her too much of a headache over it all. And as long as he was good and would vow to try and not get into as much trouble.
Naniko turned at the rustling of leaves behind her, catching sight of the familiar pack member Psych and her deer companion. She gave her a smile and a nod - she was glad to see the new Tuyul taking an active role in the pack, helping her to greet joiners. By all means, the two could learn together. She didn't want to make it appear that they were ganging up on the girl, but the Anathemans weren't hostile toward outsiders unless shown disrespect...which she was not seeing here. So this would be a peaceful gathering.
The girl's story came out in a rush. She listened carefully to her words, coming down to a crouch so that she could be more at the pup's level. She wasn't the nicest canine in the lands, but she had reasons for the things that she said and things that drove her actions in most cases. She could be soft-hearted, especially around pups and those who were family members of existing pack members. It seemed that the girl had come looking for Alaki. Severus looked back up at Naniko, then to Aoi. "It's ok, Aoi. I don't have a dad that lives around here." He shared. "I'm Severus...and this is my mom Naniko. You said...Miwa? She lives here. And Alaki, too!" He seemed happy to have been able to share some of the good news, his tail wagging behind himself quickly. The boy then looked at Naniko again, wondering what step came next. He felt very sorry that Aoi's mother had died...he knew where his father was, he just didn't live in Anathema with them. But she would be able to talk to her dad, because Alaki was here.
Naniko gave a small cough, noting the girl's misuse of the word "manure" but not saying anything about it. Normally, she would take this time to inquire about the joiner's skills and ask what they would be able to do for her should she allow them in. But because this was a pup who was related to another member of the pack, they could just accept her and be on their way to the caves. The tall female cleared her throat, motioning for Finn to come up alongside them. "You can come up here too, Finn. Either Finn or Severus...what is the next step to joining the pack, since that is the girl's intent? Keep in mind that she is young...and related to Alaki, a current pack member" Her son shrugged, unsure of the answer, and went back to watching Aoi and the deer interact.
