Being so close o the child seemed to rile the grandfather up a bit but the kid, well she seemed very happy. Her tongue wet parts of her chin and even part of her secui’s puffed out chest, a soft shiver ran down her spine before her laid down and asked her question. As the man talked the woman crawled closer, her eyes watching the circling bump that seemed overjoyed to be in the soft warmth of the fur. They were built for this form of weather where she, a coyote, was just too shorted furred to be any use in the cold. Her body shivered as she thought about the storm outside, she was strange for a coyote. She knew of the cold here and yet she still came, not for herself but really for her brothers because without her they would surely have torn each other to pieces. As it was she was surprised that Lumby had not attacked Toto again, strange indeed.
She listened to his thank you and just shrugged with her shoulders as she now touched the cloak of hers with her side slightly. Closer to the dog than she wanted to be but she wanted to be closer to the child more than anything. Her heart ache being so close to a child of her age, her pups would have been a year or so now if they had survived their birth. She help her composure though she could not hide the sadness that came to her face when he spoke of his daughter, Adelle’s mother was dead. Opposite of her situation.
”I am sorry to hear about your daughter, it’s truly a tragedy to take a mother away from her children or vice versa.” She spoke softly, readjusting herself so that her face would not be close to his. She looked aimlessly at the dirt wall of their enclosure, her mind wandered to that night. Her eyes closed halfway only to look at the dog out of the corner of her eye. If her children would have lived, then.. Her thoughts broke off the sentence in her mind, her head moving from her paws to look over the large male. The snow still giving the land out there hell, god what a stupid area this was.
