The only thought in Terra's mind was the need for a distraction so she could escape. Terra wouldn't abandon the others to their fate, as she could easily do, and the panic of the horses got her even more excited. Her jaw was open wide, eyes wild with the energy rushing through her. Sharp teeth clamped on her leg, releasing a cry. Her speed was her gift. To be crippled there could kill her. Twisting her leg Terra felt it dislocate painfully, allowing her to twist around to face her opponent. The jaw crunched on bone, and Terra snarled before wrenching it free, blood running down.
She could not allow that to slow her. Even with pain shooting through that leg Terra kept moving. She circled around the beast that had cornered her, slower than before. She could still pivot away, but the maneuvers would be off balance, only able to use three legs. Snarling Terra lunged forwards. It was a simple fake, pretending to go for her face while angling to get at the softer, more exposed flesh underneath. Lifting a paw to strike her would only widen her opening. Rocks rained through the air, one striking her tail, though the blow was shrugged off in the heat of the moment.
