She and Liam had been here almost a month and had settled into cave dwelling rather nicely. It was weird at times to be away from her family But Ayasha tried not to let that bother her. She had Liam and that was enough for her, right? Sometimes she wondered if everyone’s warnings about Liam and Anathema were right. But she was his mate and he was hers and nothing was going to stop that. She did miss her mother and siblings a lot but not as much as the first couple of nights, well after the first night.

She knew that Liam was up to something in the village and hoped that she could see what he was doing. She trusted him but was simply curious about what was keeping her mate busy. Mate. There were still times when that word felt a little strange to her. But she supposed that that was something that would come easier as time went by. She left their cave and headed up above ground and went to the village. Liam? Are you here somewhere? She had never actually been here before and gave the “Storm Tree Hotel” a curious look. This was what humans called a hotel? It seemed tiny. Though they did get it right some of the time since they got the name correct with the Chien Hotel over in Cour des Miracles. Maybe these humans were exceedingly stupid.
