Kiara Amarok

It was early in the day, the snow was frozen on the ground and the skies were clear and bright. Occasionally clouds drifted over the pack lands as they threw shadows on the white touched mountains. Silently Kiara walked through the forest, her white coat glittering with the snow as she easily moved through the lands. The arctic wolf loved snow, almost as much as she loved running through the mountains. Yet, for some reason, neither things could cheer her up. The unusually chipper she-wolf was feeling both low in spirits and, surprisingly, low in energy. Why, Kiara couldn't say, yet she was. Her breath formed white puffs in the air as the snow wolf neared the Broken Arrow Ranch. As Kiara approached the lip of the valley, she stared down at the ranch, its barn and pastures formed a break in the forest and grasslands.

As the arctic wolf started down into the valley she thought about herself. That day, Kiara had hunted a succulent rabbit, only to regurgitate it after an only an hour. The sight really shocked the young wolf. Sick was a deadly state to be in for a non-infected wolf like herself, making the lack of energy and her incident with the rabbit meat actually fairly scary. The only thing preventing her from freaking out completely was the fact that she was in a luperci pack. The shifters had an interesting outlook on illness and treated it as if it was really no big deal, which did make Kiara feel better. She knew if she had real problems then the pack could help her, but she was still worried.

It wasn't long before Kiara had reached the ranch. Grazing in one of the pastures were two large four legged animals. The largest one had a formidable set of horns on top of his brown head. The other was a spotted, black and white female with a less frightening pair of horns. Her interest peaked, Kiara strode casually up to the fence separating her and the strange animals. She inquisitively tested the air, wondering if they were some type of horse or something new. Kiara shook her head, boy did they smell, they weren't horses that was certain. The alabaster wolf ducked down and slipped under the lowest bar for the wooden fence. Immediately the large male took notice of her and turned. His head ducked down as he shouted at the she wolf and he charged after her. Kiara barked in her wolfish way and dodged out of the way.

Now she was having fun. Kiara's tail wagged in the air as she bent down in a playful crouch. Her lips pulled back to show a formidable growl. The arctic wolf was not perturbed as the male bent his head and charged again. She dodged out of the way and playfully nipped at his heels. For her, it was like dealing with a bull bison, and they did kind of look like buffalo. The male turned again, his head swung back and forth as he kicked at the snow a little. The bison looking animal brayed a little but didn't charge again. Instead, he walked forward a little and with each step his head moved back and forth as if he was trying to fend Kiara off. Kiara just stood and eyed the animal as she carefully watched its movement, her eyes bright with excitement. Off in the distance, the other animals were all staring at the show.
