Helotes heard the call and headed over quickly to the sound. The voice was a vaguely familiar but he knew that it was not a member of Inferni, and also that it was not the pure howl of a coyote. Helotes harbored no ill feelings towards wolves, but it was a dangerous game this one played, to howl at the borders of a pack that so obviously disliked them. No matter, he would see what the individual wanted. He felt confident that there would be no reason to fight, usually those with nefarious motives did not call out such as this one had.
It did not take him long to come to the borders, for he himself had been scouting. It was a brisk jog on two legs that brought him to the female coyote hybrid female that he instantly recognized. How strange that she was back again, but he had scented her along the borders before; it seemed annoying the Infernians was somewhat of a hobby of hers. As he neared however, the intoxicating musk of her peeking hit his male nostrils like a punch in the face. He nearly swooned, his body reacting as any male’s would to the scent.
He hesitated then, looking at her nervously. In the past he would have no hesitated to take her, but now with the responsibilities of his rank and position in the clan it would not be so easy of a thing. Fleta… he breathed, his voice husky with his building testosterone. What are you doing here?
