Set before the thread in Dahlia de Mai.

now I'm here to stay / love can be so boring / what was it you wanted / could it be I'm haunted?

Struggling up and across the mountain range was nothing short of tedious for the young woman. Her feet had troubles finding footholds, and her hands, she was still beginning to manipulate properly. Having shifted early, she was getting a feel for it much sooner than she should be, and her immaturity showed in her rather small and childlike form. But even though she was small and delicate in appearance, she held the air of a grown woman, truly her father's daughter in every way. Nothing could deter her from conquering her challenges; nothing could stop her because Gabriel would never have quit. When it came down to it, everything was just a matter of perseverance.

She did break momentarily, sitting on a ledge with her feet hanging over the edge and breathing hard. She blinked sleepily — the climb had exhausted her, certainly — and looked around her. Far below she could see where Inferni's and met the ocean, and she realised that it would be a good point from which to watch for the Dahlia pack. Still... Perhaps it was too far away to tell. Anyone could give a false alarm and realise they'd slaughtered ten or so wolves that had nothing to do with the conflict. Her heart was much softer than her father's, at least, but it didn't stop her from wishing it wasn't from time to time.

She stood then, tired of the scenery — the never ending beaches that were all but discouraging from that height — and pressed on across the mountains.
