Great Village (map)

All welcome for any of the younger members of Inferni -- Tirones Minors and younger canines in the adult ranks. :3 Myrika is gonna teach everyone a little bit of hunting and tracking, maybe. ^^ I set this at the Great Village, but maybe they can chase prey to frozen Folly Lake for easier pickings?

Myrika is by Raze!

The winter's cold was finally upon them. This morning she had risen and walked out of the Great Village schoolhouse to find the world awash with snow, six or seven inches of it piled thick upon the ground in the night. She hadn't felt the cold then -- her scavenged woodstove burned through most of the night, and her room was pleasingly warm. Myrika had attended to her duties within her small stables, caring for the horses and feeding the sheep. She'd let them all out to the pasture later, when the earth warmed up. After this, it was to her Lupus form, and the rust-tinged coyote tossed back her head, howling for the younger members of Inferni to come. Her invitation was not entirely closed to those wishing to teach or hone their hunting skills, however, for Myrika wasn't one to discriminate.

Myrika was a good hunter -- certainly not the best, but able to sustain herself when living alone, as the long months before Inferni proved. The rust-hued woman rarely pursued prey larger than deer when on her lonesome, but she had tasted of the flesh of larger animals, as well. Large group hunts did not seem to occur frequently within Inferni, and Myri intended to change that -- if she could. The woman had no idea whether Inferni would come at her call. She was the Praetorian of the pack, no doubt, but she was not of the leadership -- equal in rank to Halo, the rust-furred woman had two superiors now.

Myrika padded out from under the overhang of the schoolhouse, walking down the well-beaten earth in front of the corral to sit in a visible and obvious spot so any approaching participants might see her and come directly toward her. She was nervous, but happy, too -- kids weren't so cruel to adults as they were children, and in any case, Inferni had few true children -- just green adults, newcomers to the world of full responsibility and full expectation to contribute to the pack.
