Hehe

Days had gone by, sweet and unforgettable. A couple of days at the hotsprings, and doing the things she liked. The hotsprings had become a favorite, it fascinated the hybrid that she could just sink in and forget about the injuries she had endured in the last couple of days, how they numbed the pain was just amazing. Other than that, in the springs even two feet was too much distance away from Hadley. Sel sincerely hoped the burly hybrid was fine with the fact that she couldn't keep her hands off him, scaring him away would be shameful on her part.

The girl with the red eyes had left Hadley's room that morning, leaving a short note on the bed for him. It explained that she had to check out Halifax again, assuring him that she was armed and would be alright. Old partly frayed bandages were wrapped tight around her waist, protecting the brown and cream Italian from further harm to her ribs. It was hard breaking away from the warm room and gentle hybrid within it to leave, but there would definitely be gifts in it for him after. That would make the guilt fizzle out and vanish.

Selene had left Casa di Cavalieri early that morning, set off with Ukaglay armed with her long jeweled sword. Despite the glittering blue gems inset on the handle, the sword was pretty deady. Pure steel with a gold handle, sharp as anyone could imagine. At least protecting herself wouldn't be too difficult. Slipping off the large back of Uka, the young woman tied him up to a post, this time there would be no trouble getting away if anything unfortunate were to happen. The streets appeared empty, the only signs of others being near was the scents of passing canines from earlier. Selene gripped the handle of the sword and approached a building, it seemed deserted as far as she could see, but there was no way in. It took a while of looking around the edges of the building before she found the back door. Fortunately for the young woman, it was glass. It only took a well-aimed blow to the center of the glass, although left her breathless from the pressure on her lungs and ribs.

The things on the shelves were still sitting impeccably, as if untouched by anyone. The only evidence of civilization was a dainty cream colored human skull laying face up on the floor. The dainty female bent down to examine it, peering carefully at the teeth and eye sockets. It sent a shiver through her spine, it wasn't anything worthy of taking back to the pack, and it probably had the power to creep Hadley out. A long fluffy tail flicked as she returned to her standing position, to examine the shelves once more. She needed pretty things...Things that were so amazing to take back. There was an old cloth bag, very wide and big to use. Snatching it up, Selene turned to look at a jewelry display. Pretty eyes widened as eyes caught sight of something so perfect...So Hadley. It was a mountain lion necklace, carved so delicately and so skillfully of the large cat in sleek silver. The glass case was easily busted with the butt of her sword, long fingers gently picked up the necklace to eagerly place it in the bag.

Something else caught her eye, a hair ornament of a blue butterfly, so dainty and so beautiful. A small yelp of delight escalated from her lean muzzle, before taking it in her palm. The pickings were great here, but the pain in her ribs was approaching fast. The hybrid sank to the floor clutching her side tired. Quietly, she fixed the hair comb ornament into her dark hair. Closing her eyes, she thought back to Hadley. She hated to leave him behind. And maybe he had other things to do.

Sounds of struggle outside had the young woman fearful, perking her ears until she jumped up afraid. Despite the hurting ribs, she jumped up with her sword. Selene hurriedly ran out from the building, limping slightly with sword in hand. She was afraid to death that Hadley was hurt. But she wasn't prepared for the sight before her. A choked cry escaped her lips as she saw someone bent over in pain. "Amy?" Selene stood shocked, one hand gripping a sword and the other had the bag.
