Amy watched a necklace be picked up and placed around Selene's neck. She hadn't realized the heiress was holding onto anything. It had imprinted into her hand. The sword laid on the ground forgotten. If Amy so wished, she could easily attack the female. Only the risk of losing the life inside her had her holding still. Selene was being utterly foolish, but at the end it truly was her choice to be that way. Amy had no responsibilities to help her, though Amy did hope the hybrid would take her advice.
The nervous way Selene clutched the pendant clued Amy in to how frightened the heiress was. She probably thought Amy was a monster of some kind. Her smile this time was almost bitter. Here she was, with someone so similar to her yet Amy still found herself viewed as a monster none could approach. Amy wouldn't deny that was what she was, she just wished that others would realize they were just as much a monster as she was. At least Selene had understood it might not be love, simply describing it as an attachment. Attachment is fine. A good slave will earn that. Just don't expect things he can't give. Weary now Amy looked at the hotel she was staying in. Raoth was forgotten, still tied. His tired exertions continued, and Amy didn't plan on stopping him. It would tire him out, make him easier to handle.
