The hybrid moved through his land with the easy lope of a wolf, traveling with a speed that lacked purpose. While he often patrolled atop Viggo, he favored his own legs as much as he did the horse. It allowed for him to scent things better, and to mark the various places he favored. He was in the middle of such an act when the cry came, and once finished, quickened his pace to meet it. The musk of his dominance reeked from his pelt, but the coyote had little concern for such a thing. His duty was not one that allowed him to remain anonymous, but he had others to do such things for him.

Another cry echoed the first not long after, this belonging to his half-brother. Pleased with the man’s skill as a scout, and his fierce duty to such a role, the Aquila quickened his pace. It took him perhaps fifteen minutes to finally close the distance, and to his surprise a dark woman of Enkiel’s conformation was there to meet him. The brand upon her chest echoed her lineage, and he recalled her by word-of-mouth, though he could not remember meeting her. Still, the past was something he learned much of—and for this reason he recalled Enkiel’s sour attitude towards the girl, and his mention of her lack of loyalty. Still, people changed…and he owed family at least that much.

“Back again?” He asked, tone neutral despite the doubt in his heart. His stance indicated his rank though it was subtle, one not demanding as a wolf might behave. Small as his lupus form was, there was no need for him to shift to meet the pair.
