Being a lover of the night sky Neela generally kept somewhat odd hours; switching between nocturnal and diurnal sleep patterns seemingly at random. For the last few days she had been of the former, spending most of her nights awake and wandering about the territory, hunting and stargazing in equal measure.
Neela was enjoying the latter of these activities when she was disturbed from her relaxation by an odd scream that echoed through the quiet night. While Neela couldn't place the sound she knew enough that it didn't come from any kind of canine, but still it had her both intrigued and on edge. It was the follow up call, this time clearly of a canine and toned to a warning, that sent the red and white woman scrambling to her feet and dashing off towards her noise, hands ghosting down to brush over the handles of her daggers, hanging reassuringly at her waist.
As she reached the source of the noise the smell of other canines became painfully obvious to Neela, the smell thick with the scent of a pack that shouldn't be within Ichikan grounds. Neela didn't know what was going but between the call and the scents she had enough information to warrant a guess that Ichika was under some sort of raid.
Neela sniffed deeply and chose her path, ignoring the stationary intruder where she smelt the presence of an Ichikan for a fast moving one where the only accompanying scent was that of several animals. Realising that the intruders must be stealing Ichika's cattle Neela growled and sped up, heading diagonally to intercept the intruders.
She eventually pulled ahead of one wolf that was astride a horse. Neela emerged from the trees slightly ahead of her, knives flashing in the moonlight and teeth bared in a snarl. "Stop!" Neela called out as she squared her feet, preparing to leap at te horse, or more specifically its rider, as it passed if necessary.
