Levent pretended to look affronted when she called him cruel. He truly was a gentleman, as many women could attest to—if they weren’t cursing him for being such a fickle spirit. He was gentle, kind, loving, passionate…and all of that went to hell around this woman. She didn’t deserve a gentleman; that would just bore her. Instead, he allowed this animalistic side of him to come out, even if it was tame compared to others’ lust.

Blizzard blue eyes slid lazily down her collarbone to the swell of her breasts. It was funny how clothing made the luperci body more tantalizing, while many wore only the fur on their back. There was a sense of the forbidden to it, maybe. He imagined trailing his tongue where his eyes lingered before she set the blouse aside and played with his freed hair.

The coyote’s cry of pain indicated another hit, and the wolf smiled as she spoke to him, her hand still in his hair another instant. Judging the distance between himself and the slave, he raised his arm then hurled another knife, this one striking the coyote in a much easier target. Blood dripped from his ribs as he let out another strangled, wordless shout of pain. It didn’t look like it had gone deep, however; Lev didn’t know what would happen if he accidentally killed Amy’s slave. She might not care right now, but he didn’t want to risk her wrath when she sobered up.

“Your turn,” the Turkish man said, bored. He went over and started to massage her bare shoulders, magic fingers going to work to loosen her muscles—as well as to distract her.
