He would always find it strange how certain others found meaning in their lives. While Itachi wished he could obtain a wider perspective of things, to more successfully understand those who were so visually similar to him, it seemed it was a wish that couldn’t be granted him. The olive eyed man had oozed with disapproval at the sight of him for many a moon now. Details that seemed small to the Lykoi appeared grand in another's eyes, and he had difficulties understanding how this could make sense. Had not this man attempted to woo him in the darkness of Anathema’s cave system with this same female resting only a few spaces away? Sirius had seen her before, but when she had been carried over the doorstep of Salsola, an action Itachi would have seen as kind was turned into crime.

As Itachi knelt down on the hard ground before the man he had willingly chosen to follow, he thought he understood how the feeling of betrayal tasted like. He had wronged his superior crudely enough to bend his knees in a manner that seemed to suggest that the man before him wished to humiliate. Fascinating and strange, and slightly sad if he would let it be. Sunset orbs calmly gazed upon dirty feet, lids hooding their majestic hues. Acceptance was part of his nature and he would not easily stray from such a path. But now, hidden behind impenetrable walls, deep within his chest, it was Itachi that had been betrayed.

Hands settled on top of his knees, and the blonde allowed his upper body‘s weight to sway forward slightly, seated as an ancient warrior with a katana missing by his hip. It was submissive and correct. There was not much curiosity to what awaited him. What was to come would come. There was only one thing in the world mattered, and it wasn't this.
