Lillith stomped the ground with her front paws and twisted her face into the most evil looking scowl she could muster, which ultimately failed and only served to make her look ridiculously adorable. But then her mother fell to the earth to push at her and Lillith automatically rolled onto her stomach to show her nearly black belly, which her elder then went to tickle thoroughly. Lillith squirmed and whined under her mother's nipping teeth, but then she drew away and the crimson lady righted herself. She could not help but cock her head to the side as she watched her mom scamper away on all fours; Lillith had not often see her mother do that in her two-legged form. Even though she wanted desperately to remain angry at the black and white woman the scene looked so comical that the pup could not help but giggle, "Mom, you look weird." Lillith stood then and trotted over to her and jumped adeptly up onto the woman’s back and went to chew on one of her cropped ears. An unknown commotion in the forest beside them suddenly set the roosting ravens off and the cool sunlight that the mother and pup were bathed in was suddenly shadowed by their wings. Lillith looked up at them, eyes wide and mouth agape, and then awkward rolled off her mother’s back, "Mom," she began, "I think those birds are the shadows on my walls." She watched as the group turned in the sky to return and roost exactly from where they had just flown; what stupid creatures. But still, they fascinated Lillith, "I like the living shadows."
