letting npc 1 escape, unless someone feels the desire to chase after her.

Stand up and show me some pride

The moon silhouetted luperci moved in on the herd and Anann's pace quickened. It was too early yet, as the scene unfolded in darkness, to determine the intent of the bandits. Of coarse the horses were more valuable alive in the eyes of the Cavalierites, but perhaps an easy meal was all the intruders were looking to gain or too weaken the strength and speed of Casa Di Cavalieri as whole. Whatever their cause, Anann was determined to put an end to it. Here and now.

As the distance between the small band of Cavalierites and the bandits dwindled Anann could see that one of Wayne and Dixie's horses was roped. The foolish wolf at the end of the rope was attempting to pull the large mare from the herd. Wayne was first to act, knocking the rider from horseback. Trusting the wolf dog to handle the matter Anann moved on, her attention on the horses as she tried to get a head count and make sure that the herd had not already neen divided as those that followed her joined into the fray.

Rem stood close to Hadley. Noire hovered just behind Hadley. The young colt was eager to prove himself, but found the world from behind the large luperci to be far less intimidating. Rem drove the female wolfdog further back with hooves and teeth after Hadley had given her a toss, though once she retreated far enough to suit the stallion he abandoned his assault after a few fair bites to leg and shoulder, and returned to his position at the outer edge of the herd.

Hearing Sebastian's call Anann turned her attention from the mass of horses to Hadley and the female wolfdog. The she-mutt was slinking closer, trying to get within range of the herd without the scared male noticing. Noire had picked up on her movement and in a moment of bravery the colt rushed forward in imitation of his sire. Small hooves lashing out in front of him as he lurched forward to bite at her. However the female bandit easily side stepped the inexperienced horse. Cursing under her breath, the bandit lashed out with her dagger. The steel blade cut along the shoulder of the young horse causing him to squeal out in pain. The resulting wound was shallow, but it was a lesson that roan wouldn't soon forget.

At Noire's cry both Anann and Rem surged forward at the wolfdog. Anann stood before the doggish female with her dual sabre drawn. "You might want to reconsider." Anann warned with a low growl. Though when no response was given Anann took a couple step forward. The wolfdog a couple steps back. However, something else seemed to have the other woman's attention, for she looked past Anann with a frightful look on her face. Seeming to realize that the odds were no longer in their favor the bandit turned and ran. Never even looking back for her remaining comrade.
