Her explanation made him nod once, his brown eyes flicking past her to the silent flat-chested girl, who looked away submissively. Before he could even think of a follow-up question, however, the redheaded Italian sauntered out of the vegetation to them. Patting Buckeye on the neck as the horse snorted at the other's approach, he glanced down at his comrade in cold questioning.
The word slave left Sebasitan's lips as he greeted the merchant woman nonchalantly, and the cowboy lifted his lip to show a large canine tooth. It was true, then.
