The two little pupils before him soaked in all that he spoke to them. While he guessed they would in the end defy him and do something they weren’t supposed to, it was all a part of growing up he supposed. He just hoped the important part of keeping Salvador and themselves safe wouldn’t be something they drifted from, however some mischief and games weren’t something he figured he’d be able to keep the two from doing. A soft smile encompassed his lips even as he felt the familiar presence of X’y behind him. His blues went to both of the little adults before rising back up to his full height to turn to his mistress behind him.
He gave her a smile while his hand remained behind his back, hiding those flowers for the time being. First off though he decided to eat a bit at Boothe’s pride again as he spoke.
“Look what Boothe gave Sophie today,” he said with a smirk as he turned, still carefully hiding her flowers from view so that she could see the girl holding her own hand full of flowers. Boothe however seethed a bit, before standing up straight and taking the watchful eyes like a true soldier, Saluce could only hope the boy learned to overcome his boyish pride at some point in the future. But he didn’t dwell on it long as he turned back to his prize, and like any good father figure he had to provide the example. He finally revealed the flowers he had picked for her, the hues of purple and yellows of the early spring bloom filled his paw as he raised it up to her.
“And these are for you,” he smiled. “Sophie and Boothe here, are getting their first assignment today. They are going to babysit Salvador for us tonight.” He said quickly, not wanting the flowers to be recognized as the only thing going on, but merely a gateway for the two of them. And with her so near to him already, the call to shift was already eating at him, to run with her and paw the ground. But for now he was happy to be trying to create that spark once again between them.
