Mel said we can assume Enkiel shows up at some point to take over and really tend to Emmanuelle, so -- can assume that happens in the next few posts and finish this up, if you want? Big Grin Figured it'd be a short thread. ^^

Myrika is by Raze!

Ithiel was no healer -- he knew only rudimentary basics, and had taken up the learning of even that only recently. The dark man did not like the feeling of helplessness that had overcome him at Halo's attack. He had not liked feeling so utterly useless with the situation -- chances are, he was still damned useless in case of truly life-threatening injury, but now at least he could help in cases such as these. Surely, Emmanuelle needed a skilled healer, but Ithiel thought her wounds were not so severe as to truly threaten her life. This troubled him: if the same well-armed and armored wolves had committed this atrocity, they could have easily taken one unarmed coyote such as this one.

The dusky man looked up with her question, red eyes considering. Her lucidity was a good sign -- it looked to be quite a lot of blood, but her mind was working soundly, and she had the capacity to worry about her fellows. The man nodded, and looked pointedly to Myrika, indicating he'd rather her answer this than answer it himself. A few, she said, picking up on his cue. The woman wrapped a piece of fabric about Emmanuelle's leg, winding it around and around. No one was hurt bad, though. I don't think, she added. It was confusing at the mansion, she finally said, shrugging her tawny shoulders and squinting down at her work.

You're going to be okay, too, Ithiel said, more matter-of-factly than as a comfort. You will hurt, but you'll live. Myrika nodded with relief and touched Emmanuelle's forearm lightly, careful to select a place that hadn't been bloodied our wounded. Her smile was troubled, but meant to reassure. The mahogany-haired woman had yet to process the events of the day: who had attacked them and why were questions she wished desperately to ask, but dared not. No one had any answers for her.
