They had only been in their new home for a couple of days trying to get settled in. Temo still was not sure about how well Cercatori d'Arte would receive them He had trouble pronouncing that name, trying to get his tongue around it, he hoped that with practice he would eventually get it. Jace seemed happier now that she was away from the troubles that were plaguing them in their old home although the pups were still not thrilled with having to leave there.Hopefully they will settle down and enjoy their new home and someday they will understand the reasons for having to leave.
Temo had stayed with Jace and their children as they dealt with the house and moving in and getting settled. There was still some work to be done but he could not wait any longer to check out the store building that he thought would be good for a workshop. Temo was thinking of expanding his woodworking skills from just building repair and maintenance to carving and doing furniture repair. Working on buildings was good and he enjoyed that but given the weather and having to travel around, he felt that carving was something he could do during the rainy seasons and when he needed to stay home with the pups.
After leaving the house, he went to the cart where his tools were still being stored wrapped in various hides to protect them on the journey here. With a bundle of tools in his arms he set off the short distance to the building that he was going to use. As he walked, he pondered over that he had not met anyone else yet, other then those that greeted them at the boarder.
Temo had some difficulty in fighting the door open given that he had his arms full and the door was reluctant to open after many years of disuse. But he got it open and once inside he set the bundle on a counter and looked around at the heavily dust laden interior. He spent a couple of minutes just looking around thinking about where to put what and, more importantly, where to start cleaning up.
Without much idea of where to start cleaning, he decided to poke around in the other rooms and hopefully he would find something to help sweep up the dirt and detritus that had accumulated on the floor and other horizontal surfaces. His moving about stirred up some of the dust which danced around in and out of the streams of light that was coming through the windows.
Temo could not believe his luck when he found an old broom that was still usable stashed in a closet. With the broom in hand he began sweeping off the tables, counters and floor. Unfortunately he did not get far when the dust began to fill the air and caused him to sneeze violently. He went around and opened all the doors and windows that he could in hopes that the breeze would clear out the air inside and he went back to work cleaning up the place.
