Rivers noticed the stormy male look up at him with little interest, and if this man's icy cold voice wasn't enough to convince him that he was most definitely a grumpy one, he didn't know what did. A suspicious eyebrow rose from Rivers when he saw a package slam into the other canine's chest, and he jerked his head to face the source. A ghosty-white male sat what seemed to be a bit too close for comfort next to his midnight-colored "friend," and Rivers actually took a fraction of a step back. His eyebrow arched further as the two engaged in a small argument. Wonder if this happens often... They act like an old mated couple, arguin' back and forth over trivial things. The thought made his smile turn into a lopsided smirk, but he let it fade as the man introduced himself as Alaki. Rivers blinked at the name, slightly perplexed. It seemed familiar... Was it mentioned when he joined the pack, maybe? Perhaps it was the name of the Angelo, or something like that... He'd get answers for that later.
"Ignore the idiot. All brute and no brains, I'm Alex."
At this, Rivers turned to the paler of the two, who gave him a childlike grin. He gave him a smile in return, knowing instantly he would warm up to him better. Alaki was more, oh, what's the word... haughty, if that fit snugly. Alex seemed more carefree and stuff, much like Rivers himself, which was good to an extent.
Realizing he never actually answered Alaki's question due to Alex's sudden arrival, he cleared his throat softly and spoke. "Right, well... Rivers. Skyeward. I don't suppose it rings a bell, but..." He glanced over at Alex for a moment, thinking about what to say next, and looked back at the darker male. "Seems as though you two are opposites... from color to personality, quite literally," he mused aloud. The thought was stuck on his mind after the two stopped arguing for the time being, and he decided to voice it. Despite the fact he vaguely guessed Alaki might get grumpy again, but oh, well.
