finishing up here dearies

The tension coming from Lilin hadn't dissipated, and Saul didn't expect it to for a little while. From what he knew of her, she didn't take to others quickly and she didn't trust easily either, but when she got past her natural aversion to strangers, she was a loyal friend. The fluttery feeling in his stomach was strange and he tried to ignore it as his hand rested on her elbow. He honestly tried to ignore the hyper awareness that he could feel zinging through his body as both Bran and Niernan answered his questions. It seemed as though they hadn't been doing much- they'd arrived in Nova Scotia looking for family and Saul had found them straight away. Aside from Eclipse and Lilin, there wasn't any more Stormbringers around and now they'd met Lilin, their quest for family was almost closed. Of course, Saul understood the difference between blood relations and actual family. His thoughts turned to Wretch, the daughter who he'd found broken on the shores of Dahlia de Mai. She wasn't blood related, but she was his daughter in all the ways that counted.

Thinking about Wretch made him sigh softly, a squeeze to his heart when he thought about his abandonment of them. He'd been so caught up in his crush and Gideon leaving that he hadn't thought about what it would do to his family when he left. And when he'd managed to return, Temeraire in tow, Wretch had already left. He hadn't been able to find her again yet, and when he did he had no idea what he was going to say to her. There was nothing he could do about it now, so he pushed these thoughts aside and concentrated on Niernan's words as he vocalised his thoughts on Lilin's question. He smiled softly, his nose wrinkling in an annoying way as he nodded in agreement. They would be here as long as they were wanted, and Saul knew that Lilin would soon warm up to them- they weren't exactly the hardest to get along with.

"If its alright with you, I think we should get back to camp... we should have a meal tonight to celebrate our family expanding." He said, giving Lilin a soft smile. He knew she was going to be awkward with them for a while, and that was okay. With a soft pressure on her elbow to steer her in the right direction, Saul turned and walked back towards the huts, pleased to hear the brothers following after them.
