OOC :: This is the thread that was discussed in the Inferni plot forum. I wanted to get this underway so that Helotes can ask Zeke to mate with Zana. And also, for continuities sake
Something didn’t smell right, on the wind. It was a foreboding feeling, similar to what one would feel before a storm. But the sky was clear, and the breeze warm, and the Hydra sat upon a flat rock, sharpening the tip of his newly acquired spear. It was already sharp, but he was finding solace in the rhythmic motion of the whet stone against the blade. He lifted his head for a moment, tasting the air with his nostrils. He was not sure what was bothering him so, but it was unnerving.
He had managed to settle the slave, Raoth, in his room an hour before. The male had tried to escape immediately, much to Helotes’ surprise, but he manage to secure the boy with not much trouble after subduing him the first time. He had waited with the youth until he had fallen asleep; apparently being dragged behind a cart all day was exhausting, who knew? Helotes sighed, he was not at all looking forward to the next week; training Raoth would be difficult, especially if the male didn’t cooperate.
The breeze picked up again and Helotes lifted his head once more, looking westward to the slowly setting sun; what was this feeling he had? He shifted uncomfortably on the hard surface of the rock, and turned back to sharpening, trying desperately to take his mind off it.
