The girl knew manners, and though Linquilea was uncomfortable around children, she let a small smirk slide across her dark lips. The expression was not entirely malicious, though her face was not built for anything else: it made her look slightly more terrifying than already before. Lilith pronounced her name without trouble, which was a relief - Linquilea was not particularly difficult, but the french surname was a mouthful. But it was a mouthful fit for a queen, which was what Linquilea was. A dark queen, an empress in her own right; a destroying angel cast out from heaven and left to her madness.

Lilith responded that she was unafraid of death, and Linquilea cocked her head to the side, as if considering the strange answer. A child was nothing more than a child, and yet this little one appeared to embrace the dark side of life without trepidation; indeed, she appeared to have some sort of morbid fascination with the subject. Linquilea liked that in the characters she bought close to her, recognizing that as the most important quality when one lived as she did. Life and death had a paradoxical relationship for the dark murderer - she survived on the cessation of life. "You speak as if you have experienced death many times before. Have you lost someone, or have you taken a life?" The dark woman's voice was gravelly, but openly curious about the little child's experiences.

When asked about Niccolo, Linquilea barked a choked laugh, shaking her massive head in regret. "I did not. He did not displease me so extensively so as to warrant that particular honor - no, he is merely injured, and tending to his wounds in a nearby stream. He will return soon enough; he knows better than to disobey me." The dark Queen's words were laced with the threat of destruction for those who disobeyed her - indeed, it was a pastime of hers to ruin those who served no purpose to her. Niccolo would die, in due time; perhaps when she found Halaki, Zeneca, and Twensu. The loyalty of Shandom's children to her was remarkable, and they would serve the dual purpose of bringing the alabaster traitor pain as well.
