Kit had become a little lost in Fleta again, with his green eyes watching for some sign that she had recognized his smirk, and was just as ready as always to receive some physical sign of affection from her. The male still remembered the larger, darker furred "brother" though, even if Kit's attention was focused on Fleta, and only until Shadow spoke again. Turning his focus back onto the other male, Kit listened, and processed the speech that was given to Fleta, but also toward himself.
In some respects, Kit saw how it could be taken as a light threat, that he needed to take care of Fleta, something he liked doing, and wasn't sure why he would need to be told to do so. Just to be on the safe side though, he responded at the end of it all "Don't worry about that, I like taking care of her, and spending time with her.". Kit's voice was steady enough, and he was being sincere, even if he wasn't entirely sure that their adventures wouldn't get them into trouble eventually. It didn't seem like something he needed to point out to the other male though, and he didn't believe Fleta would have enjoyed her "brother" knowing of the dangerous games they sometimes played.
To show that he planned to take care of her, Kit moved over to the female, and tried to move his arm around Fleta once she was back on the ground.
