It was no secret that alcohol had its ways dissipating awareness and common sense; she'd heard the hacking sounds coming from around the bend but she hadn't quite associated them with what they actually conveyed. Perhaps she would've worried a little more had her judgement not been clouded at that point in time. Seeing him emerge from the shadows, an enticing smile drawn on inviting lips as if he'd never experienced bouts of nausea, was enough to dissuade her from questioning his well-being. There was an aura about him on this night, one she'd never quite seen nor bothered paying attention to before. It took very little for Lilin to almost shrink back unto no-man's land; testing the line between right and wrong. Given the current circumstances, morality was not a pressing issue. She would leave that for another day... or a later time.

Equilibrium was desperately sought after as his body neared hers; the anticipation that accompanied their newfound proximity was unyielding. Two dichotomous receivers flattened almost inconspicuously as her name escaped his maw, greeting her with the same intonation she'd exerted; the syllables were so hushed, Lilin did not know if she would've heard them if the night hadn't been this soundless. Now that he was there, standing before her, the two-toned female found herself searching for something intelligible to say. Things became quite ambiguous with his sudden proximity. Not given much of a choice, her head instinctively elevated in his face's general direction, hoping to find a hint of the same desperation she kept concealed deep within.

She couldn't have foreseen the affectionate brush of her right cheek, momentarily tensing up before melting into his touch and pressing against his hand. What came next was just as surprising and her eyes widened expressively as a mischievous flick assaulted her connecting ear. Before she could even react, taking even longer considering the fact that her brain was shrouded in mist, he retreated to a safe distance. Instead of risking a step forward, knowing that there was a major possibility that she'd topple over, Lilin resorted to feigning an offended whine. ''Hey,'' she grumbled, clutching her ear dramatically. Assuming his good manners would lead him to reach over and make sure she wasn't faking, the Soulstorm heir awaited the right moment to apply her entire weight onto his chest; burying her face into his upper body. Here in his embrace, she was safe.
