The silver lady had finally started taking care of her duties again, especially after the invasion. Just like she used to, she got up early and headed towards her beloved border. Despite all her bitterness surrounding her kidnapping, when the alarm rang out, she immediately knew what had to be done. She once again went against her own personal morals by killing yet again for her home; his dead eyes haunted her in her sleep and every time she blinked. But, like everything else in life, this would pass. Her pain would eventually fade with time as well... but until that day came, Maggie walked with a heavy heart.

The Confidant slowly made her way north, choosing to walk through the borders because of the nice weather. It was finally warm enough that she didn’t need Jasper to make her rounds quicker, and was content to check the traps on foot. Kimbra flew above her master, swerving and flying around making Maggie’s job just a little bit easier. She hummed quietly to herself, eyes widening in happiness because green was finally starting to reappear in the forests.

A vague trail of Eris-scent wafted by her nose. She sniffed, and followed it quietly. She had avoided her superiors after the kidnapping, mostly because she was afraid of what they would say. She had failed them all by getting kidnapped. Sirius pulled through for her, though, which meant her life had at least some value to her leaders. But she knew Eris was kind to her, and was not afraid as she approached. The trees thinned out to show one of their new recruits with the brilliant Auxiliary. Maggie smiled, looking directly at the dark woman. “Long time no see, Eris,” she said calmly, giving a little wave to the newcomer as she spoke. Kimbra squawked above, reminding her master of her presence and her desire to stay close.
