[p] the engine's rusting in deep, deep sleep

[html]sorry for the delay!

Maggie nodded to her superior, the smile on her face almost plastered on. Denver was her other half in so many ways; lover, scout, and best friend. She loved him in a weird sort of way and especially since the last time they interacted she hadn’t been able to get him out of her head. “He means the world to me,” she said quietly, jade eyes meeting Eris’ chartreuse ones. She agreed to the walk, and after a little looking at the sky and her surroundings, headed off in a slightly different direction towards the building.

The women walked in silence for a while, Maggie’s mind churning with what to say. She desperately wanted to talk to Eris about matters of her heart, but she was unsure. It wasn’t her place to just vent at her superior about the wolf she may or may not have feelings for, or if such things were even allowed. Maggie was so naïve about love, or sex, having no one around when she was younger to tell her about it. Niro surely tried to talk to her once or twice, when she was younger, especially when Jiva was born. But now, she had no ally and no one to lead her in the right direction.

“Here we are,” Maggie said after a while, the shack coming into view after a while. “It’s mostly wine, but still delicious. I hope it serves the pack well,” she said happily, beaming at her dark friend. Thoughts returned to Denver, and the girl was mentally whisked away to just a few nights ago, when the very same bottles were being consumed and possible mistakes were being made.
