As the matriarch of the Family, was she not supposed to guide those of Salsola toward mateships and relationships? It was her duty to strengthen the familial bonds between those within her pack, just as it was Sirius's duty to lead them to glory. She was quiet, however, as the pair of canines walked away from the center of Salsolian territory and into the outskirts. Eris was unafraid -- the area just around Salsola was well-traversed and known to the pack -- there was no danger here.

The shack was a downtrodden and sorry thing, with boards separating wherever there were boards to separate. The roof seemed sagging, perhaps even partially caved, and the whole place smelled faintly of rot -- but all of this was just fine, for as the hybrid shuffled toward the building and popped open the door, she saw cabinets along the walls, some of them stocked with full bottles. Others had empty bottles, and still others had broken bottles.

Oh, yes, the hybrid breathed, stepping inside of the small shack. It was not dimly lit, thanks to the chinks between the wood paneling allowing the innards of the shack some sunlight. Pale golden shafts split the relative gloom of the shack, and the dark hybrid stepped forward, selecting a bottle entirely at random. Should we celebrate? she asked, turning back to Maggie with the bottle held up and in a ray of light. The contents were dark, but clear and free of any adulterations or molding.
