She was scarred, more scarred than she had ever been before. Yet, she was unable to voice her worry or concern. Kiara felt damaged, dirty, like a monstrosity. Surly, if Tharin or Nat found out what Amy did they would turn away from her. The protection that they were offering her puppies would be withdrawn. Kiara tried her best to appear strong and confident, to act like everything was fine. However, Nat was not fooled by her lousy charade and he bombarded her with questions. Kiara stared at the grass beneath her paws and mumbled something about a stray dog and a fight, but her words were nearly unintelligible. The snow wolf looked up slowly when Tharin nuzzled her, her pleading eyes begging him not to hate her.
The black Alpha cross Ichikan boarders to get a closer look at Kiara's shoulder. The young mother didn't move or protest. There was nothing wrong with crossing the boarder so long as she was there. The arctic female had taken good care of her wound, thus allowing it to heal at a quick and steady pace. Even so, the wound was still young and Kiara flinched a little as he licked the wound, its tender skin still sensitive to pressure. Her spirits were lifted as the Alpha assured her his help, if only she would ask. Thank you! Thank you! It put hope in her heart; hope for the future of her puppies. When they became old enough, Kiara would consider a move. But at that point in time, Ichika was their home and it's falling ranks would have to do.
Kiara watched as Zalen turned to go, her smile returned slowly and her tail began to wag. He was offering her so much. It was no wonder that such a wise and caring wolf was New Dawn's leader. The honor is all mine. Thank you for all you have offered. Sapphire eyes stared at Tharin, hoping that he would not ask her what had happened.
