A soft lick to the chin was placed as reassurance, but Tharin wasn't buying it. He wasn't a healer by any means. There wasn't anything he could do to help beyond keeping the wound clean. What if an infection set in? How would she get food while waiting for it to heal? Memories flashed through his mind, sending him to work even harder, pressing his head against hers. He had to keep her safe. What if he couldn't? The fear on her face as she looked at him brought a growl out. Who had done this to her? He would kill them.
Settling down at her side Tharin held himself alert. If any threats came he would make sure to drive them off. The words that finally came out almost broke him. Luperci? Their alpha was a luperci, she was a luperci. Yet the truth was they were unknown, dangerous things. He didn't understand them, feared them because of that. He was trying to learn, to understand it, but then this happened. She? Who did this? He agreed with her statement of the one who did it being a monster. No one else would have done such a thing. Not to someone as sweet as Fayne.
