Fayne could tell that this situation was causing trouble for Tharin. Worry in his eyes. Part of her wished she didn't burden him with her problems. But most of her wanted him to stay, glad that he was the first face she saw upon return. She felt much safer with the strong wolf here near her. Her sense of security had been virtually torn down by Amy, she did more than physical trauma to the she wolf. Fayne's trust for Luperci was now a fragile thing. Though, the majority of her pack mates were infected with the virus and so was she. It was a strange concept. Tharin's skull came to mesh against her own, another whine escaping her. A deep growl came vibrating from his throat, a protective and angered sound from the normally docile male. The strong sound caused her ears to flatten on her head. Her companion's warm body came to nestle next to her. She propped herself up and laid her head near his front paws, looking up at him. The emotions within her being held back by a very delicate barrier. Having Tharin close to her gave her the sense that her emotions should be let out, but she didn't want him to see her like that. He was worried enough without the extra hassle of her broken spirit. It would mend itself with time, she hoped. Her head was brought back up by his question, ears still flattened.
