WC:: 446 - For her Daddyhusband!

Small feet carried her lightly across the sand, a trail marking her existence and presence was left behind her with each step forward. Breathing in deeply, she picked up her speed, knowing she was no match for Hael if were to take matters seriously but that didn't stop her from attempting her great escape. Holding her splinted and bandaged left arm against her stomach, her strides were somewhat unsteady, unable to propelling herself forward with both arms was strange and was effecting her balance more then she had initially thought it would. Still, she'd have to escape or suffer the consequence of the stupid bet that she'd started. How was she to know fishing was much harder then dangling a bit of string in some water? And it was might suspicious how eager the brindle male had accepted her challenge at the time. She wouldn't eat his cooking just because she lost some bet, no way in hell was that going to happen after the last time she did.

Foot steps sounded to close behind her and she kicked the sand harder with each step, unable to get decent footing upon the soft surface, a hand reached out to grab her right wrist, a brief contact before she pulled free of his grasp, pushing herself harder and faster, laugher burst from her throat with playful glee. Ahead she saw a left turn, a break in the large sand dunes that ran along either side off her surrounding her with nothing but sand and grass. Keeping steady breaths she prepared herself and made a sharp turn to the left, in the distance she could see the ocean, the scent of the water alluring and new to the girl. Dotting the shore were black lumps, too far for her to make out the shape off.

Moving forward, laughing like a young pup, the scent in the air began to change, began to smell wrong. Frowning she stared out before her, unsure what exactly it was she was seeing. “Nahyt! Stop. Don't get any closer!” Hael called out behind her, his voice deadly serious but she wanted to know, wanted to see what lay ahead. As the objects came into view, Hael's hand clasped her shoulder, stopping her from going any further, the brindle male pulling at her, trying to turn her away from the sight before her.

Opening her mouth she looked in silent horror, a moment of silence before her scream pierced the air. Stumbling back into Hael's chest she couldn't take her eyes of them, the bodies, the wood, the black masts. “They're dead, aren't they” she whispered, trying to process what she saw, “Most likely”.
