A sinking feeling settled into the pit of his gut, before attention was dragged back to the present with the sound of the the shadow's voice, like claws on the chalkboard of his mind. The scowl tugged further at his marred lips and slit gaze narrowed upon her shape.
Though what she said surprised him. It was true, he knew nothing of the land, new nothing of the people here, other than the fact that they were uncivilized for the most part, and he didn't know where to go from this point.
