Both ears pricked upward and she appeared near dizzied with the influx of information.
Where are you going? the hybrid asked, more curt and demanding than she'd intended. Fear rose in her -- perhaps Ataxia intended to leave Salsola altogether, staying away just as Wretch did. She would lose another of her children, and so soon after Harrow and Basilaris. Would you leave your pack, your family?
