Saul Lupus is by Alaine!

The dusky air was soothing to the man, soaking through his fur and wrapping around him like a sultry lover. It was rare that Saul managed to indulge in these moments- he was often caught up in little projects that had been consuming his time, bonding with his son or trying hard to convince his bird that small animals like Temeraire and Ciaran were off limits for eating. For the most part, Temeraire was immune to Eirias' hunting- it seemed his son understood the bird perfectly and Saul would often find the two in some kind of conversation. He envied the boy, although he refused to ask him to translate or give the bird a message. It was relaxing, being out in the open, allowing himself to simply let go of thoughts that would otherwise overwhelm him.

The previous week, Saul had discovered an old friend- Niro. He remembered the man from last summer, up in the mountains around Ichika. He'd had his bird, Marahute with him and Saul recognised that it was more than likely his meeting with Niro and his bird that had set off Saul's own wish for an avian companion. Eirias had stayed away from Marahute- the two were perhaps similar in personality or maybe it was a natural aversion to other predators that kept them away. He and Niro had had a pleasant conversation, mostly the discussion of their birds and their plans. His paws moved automatically as he walked, thinking over their conversation and Sauls want to bring some more Gyrfalcons to Nova Scotia.

A delicious scent caught his attention, familiar and tantalising. He moved automatically, paws walking along the thin lines of her scent that had caught him. She would have become visible in a few short moments anyway and he allowed a breath-taking smile to light up his face. He had seen little of Lilin since their move- she'd appeared only occasionally and seemed much more interested in getting to know Miskunn and making Colibri comfortable. It was admirable, but a certain jealous part of him resented the time she spent away from him. He moved with ghostly silence, trying not to make a sound as he moved behind her. Arms reached out, touching her waist before enveloping her in a hug from behind, holding her close against him and resting his chin on her shoulder. Lili, I've missed you. He said softly, aiming a lick to her cheek.
