Death didn't cancel out his sins, the fact she no longer paced the earth was of no concern to Angel. He should have died instead. And had his mind not been so lost he'd have realised this, but so far he'd rolled with that nights blows. The Catalan male let Emmanuelle push him back against the bed, he gave little to no resistance, sighing as his back hit the suddenly plush mattress. Every other time he'd lain on it, it seemed uncomfortable, lumpy almost. 'Em...' he tried to say, tried to reason and he felt himself sinking deeper into the current moment.
