It were as if needles had replaced his blood, and wings his feet. He flew across the ground like a bird, his quarry several yards in front of him, crimson tipped tail like a pray item he would soon pounce upon. Titania had just gone into heat, and had basically rousted the whole back in her hormonal state, but he didn’t care, he just wanted to catch her, and shove his face into the deepest part of her from where that intoxicating smell was coming from.
He knew from the moment she had bounded off from the pack-song where she was going to, they had decided a long time ago where they would meet to come together for the first time; Avalon. Zalen could catch her now if he wanted, could finish it right here and now in the rocky foothills of the mountains, but he resisted because no place would be right except for that hidden place in the mountains.
His mates laughter mixed with her scent and flew back to him on the wind; she sounded like a cackling fairy and it was both haunting and invigorating. His whole body was aflame, and he was panting; his body was already becoming aroused, and it was somewhat uncomfortable as he ran, but soon they would be there and they both would be satisfied. The silvery body of his female disappeared into Avalon before he could get there, but he burst past the threshold and basically rolled to a stop. She was ahead still, trotting towards the falls, and he trotted after her. His tail was wagging, and he was basically skipping as he came near her, and it was everything he could do to keep from mounting her then and there, instead, he just looked at her, cautious, waiting.
