She had known Amnesty and Oblivion most of their lives, but otherwise she hadn't much experience with children. They were interesting to her, but Myri couldn't quite figure out how she might feel about her own children. Some small part of her wanted a little bundle to clutch and cradle, but the logistics of such a thing terrified her. She could content herself with the children of others, for the moment. Peering toward the little thing, her big ears pricked upward, and she grinned at the yawn. Myri did not quite know what her relation to this puppy was -- maybe Kaena would know -- but perhaps she might be some sort of aunt. He's adorable, she murmured, her tail wagging awkwardly in the saddle behind her.

The Consul nodded her agreement -- his color was like Kaena's, and there was the red in his muzzle, as so many others of her family. She tapped her own muzzle and grinned. He does, she agreed, ears pricking upward with his question. Oh! she said, straightening in the saddle. Yes, just let me... she squirmed around and dismounted, sliding from the saddle and onto the ground. Turning toward Cahal, she tapped his rump and let him wander a few paces away, Eira trailing after him. For her part, Myri approached the new horse, stretching her hand out in greeting before she bypassed the animal's head and reached up to receive the puppy. What's his name? she asked, sniffing at the air -- the child smelled sweet and clean. It was clearly well-cared for.
