The tawny-furred woman hesitated with the question, frowning and offering a shrug. She's quiet, mostly. The red woman seemed to speak to Kaena most frequently, and these words were few and far between. I think she's re-learning how to do... well, everything, the hybrid added, certain Halo would regain at least some of her former strength. Myri was optimistic in that sense, though the woman had shown little improvement since her injury. She was no longer in any danger whatsoever and primarily healed, but still.

She understood why most stayed away -- they preferred not to see her in such a state or were new enough not to have known her in whole strength and vigor. She was the ghost of the village, as much as Kaena was. Myri did not begrudge any of them that -- she, too, would have preferred her cousin whole and as she'd been, but she could not change the past, and she would rather Halo alive than dead. Her hands had made sure of that -- her teeth and jaws, too. They had been the thing to end her attacker and keep her from death.

If anyone can teach her, it's Kaena, though, the redhead mused, shrugging and pointing to one eye. The one-eyed woman had lost half her eyesight in youth, and if Myri was any judge, the remaining eye was failing with old age -- slowly, but steadily, too. She saw how Kaena squinted when looking in the distance now.
