It seemed a compliment; the notion of the coywolf being keen on emotions. It was not something he would rise to claim on his own. He perceived more as confidence, and the lack of proper disguise from the other. Some canines wore emotions visibly and some did not, though the smile the other had worn could have fooled as he did not know this man. But it seemed the Salsolan’s words had revealed whatever sorrow he had made an attempt to hide, and the cat was out of the bag, so to speak. Perhaps it had been rude and faulty to speak of his observation. Strangers were not fond of sharing their troubles, normally.

No fake appearance of good will was placed in the golden hybrid’s expression. He was incapable of wearing emotion over his hollow shell. Some found him mystical, but he knew the truth for what it was; he was a flawed creature with madness running thickly through black veins. Murderers, psychopaths and worse came from both parents, and a shadow, not yet forgotten, had managed to travel through oblivion and back to ensure that his life was to be black tainted. Although many perceived him with care, he thought he probably was relatively normal, considering the majority of his family, alive and dead alike.

”Perhaps it’s a sign that you’re not supposed to stay here,” the Salsolan wondered, voice as blank and empty as his face. Itachi did not intend to appear hostile, but if the red eyed coywolf had found himself miserable where he resided, then he would have moved on to greener fields. It was partly what had led to his banishment from the clan, and it was also the reason why he had abandoned Anathema’s sullen caves to become part of the Salsolan foundation party. He hadn’t expected to settle down permanently like this, and was pleased that he had. Itachi had found his fortune in the same lands where he had been born. He had been lucky. Perhaps this wasn’t the red and green eyed male’s Eden.
