It hadn’t been the Lykoi’s intention to further unsettle the unhappy stranger. More often than not, Itachi could be quite bold. He had never been one to beat around the bush—he could easily hold back information, but in general he did prefer straight forward honesty. If this place was misfortunate for the other man, then there should be greener fields ahead, somewhere that was not here. ‘Souls shouldn’t be home for frail canines.
”You could go somewhere else that’s not here,” the male simply answered as the stranger asked his question. The red eyed man had never seen the world outside ‘Souls, but he positively knew that it was extremely big. Surely there was always somewhere to go. If the other had travelled from the world across the vast sea, then he could travel a little longer in pursuit of happiness. He was curious though, and he did wish to learn exactly what troubled the lone wolf. But he thought it might be a bit too early to push the subject. He would never expect a stranger to open up and share his troubling secrets.
Sunset eyes slowly travelled away from the male, but they remained alone, apparently. He didn’t settle on any conclusions, but he knew that his eyes could not always be trusted. Perhaps this one had an insistent shadow trailing his heels. Itachi knew too well what that was like.
