As soon as her tired ears caught the sound of Salvia howling for the pack to come together, Maggie knew there was trouble brewing. She had never particularly liked Salvia; their interactions had never been too pleasant and Maggie thought she was a bit of a brat. Today was no different; she couldn’t really see why the other Confidant felt it necessary to call the pack together. It looked like Denver planned on going, so she was going to make the trek with him, even if she didn’t want to. Memphis and Florence squirmed about on the journey to the meeting. Lately Maggie had been choosing to bring her children everywhere over her bird or horse; today was no different. She didn’t have enough hands for her other companions.
The family arrived to a lone Salvia. Did she bring them together for news of some kind? Maggie gave her mate a nervous look, she didn’t like this. Eris was nowhere to be found, which made her even more wary. Salvia was a beast, and Maggie wondered if she had done something to her dark-haired auxiliary. The Confidant kept quiet, choosing to give her rival a silent nod of hello, instead of any formal greeting. Florence yowled beneath her, desiring nothing more than to run around and meet the new figures around her. She was still way too young for this meeting, especially if the whole pack was going to come. The children would be overwhelmed.
